Across Australia, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles continue to gain momentum. In 2025, plug-in hybrid vehicle sales more than doubled to 53,484 units, increasing 130.9% compared with 2024. Hybrid vehicle sales also reached 199,133 units, rising 15.3% year-on-year. According to the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI), hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles continue to play a growing role in Australia’s transition toward lower-emission transport solutions.
For Keece, this transition supports our broader commitment to responsible growth, ISO 14001 Environmental Management standards and our ongoing EcoVadis sustainability journey.
As our national footprint continues to grow, we are focused on practical initiatives that support better environmental outcomes across the business. Introducing PHEV vehicles into our fleet is one step in a broader plan to explore hybrid and sustainable vehicle solutions across future operations.
This initiative reflects Keece’s ongoing focus on continuous improvement, responsible decision-making and long-term sustainability. A strong step forward for our fleet, our business and the environment.
