The month of November is designated to bring awareness to concerns pertaining to men’s health. Men are encouraged to grow moustaches throughout the month of November to bring attention to men’s health issues such as testicular cancer, prostate cancer, mental health, and the prevention of suicide in men.
According to Movember, an organisation that raises awareness about various men’s health issues through a variety of campaigns such as males suicide, on average, six years earlier than women. During a man’s lifetime, one in nine men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Both testicular cancer and suicide are the leading causes of death among young men. In the United States alone, one man takes his own life every minute of every day. These are really worrisome tendencies that have been seen.
Unfortunately, males are often unwilling to undergo the necessary checkups, treatments, or assistance they require, and many of us surely know men who battle in silence with their health. Help us put an end to the concerning trend that puts men’s lives in danger on a yearly basis by working with us to put an end to it.
Keece team from across SA, VIC, NSW, QLD, and NZ has been raising awareness and funding for men’s health issues, such as cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention throughout November as part of the “Movember” campaign.
