The Internet of Things – IoT Asset Monitoring is now a reality.

Managing and monitoring your building, environment and your assets from the palm of your hand or a desktop is now a reality.

Technology is changing rapidly, and as result, building automation and IoT asset monitoring is leading the way. Today, you can instantly access, review, and set up exception reporting and notifications directly from your mobile phone or computer. This allows you to control virtually every system and appliance within your environment in real time

As sensors and integrations develop, so too does the range of projects IoT Asset Management can oversee. For instance, Keece systems can now manage:

  • 3-phase motor control monitoring on industrial equipment
  • automatic notification on fridge temperatures exceeding baseline temperature
  • refrigeration temperature monitoring (mandatory requirements in hospitality & health)
  • energy monitoring on specific equipment/zones/floors and buildings
  • remote testing emergency lighting
  • automatically watering wall plants based on soil moisture
  • regulating environment temperatures.

Each and every project in this space is unique. Therefore, Keece provides the following tailored services:

The merging of BMS (Building Management Systems) and IoT

A Building Management System (BMS) or Building Automation System (BAS) is a centralised platform that integrates and controls all building components. Traditionally, this control occurred by running electrical wires to a central system, such as a hub or bus. Today, however, this control can be performed remotely,  adjusting mechanical, lighting, and security systems as required.

For example, a temperature sensor regulates the air-conditioning in a room, which is only triggered when the room is occupied – triggered by IoT sensor.

The synergy between BMS and IoT – Asset Monitoring

When combined, BMS and IoT Asset Monitoring provide superior asset utilisation, uptime, and other key advantages, including:

  • remote access control to all services and assets
  • health and safety controls for employee, contractors and customers
  • remote and automatic management of corporate assets
  • easy interface and integrations for programming features and trigger processing
  • reduced energy costs as these systems are tweaked for energy efficiency
  • reduced maintenance costs using preemptive maintenance and alert functions within the systems and remote testing capabilities
