This month, we’re celebrating a significant milestone at Keece as our Queensland Director, Remzi Afacan, completes 15 incredible years with the team. Remzi’s journey from apprentice to leading our Queensland branch is a testament to dedication, hard work, and a clear vision of what leadership can achieve.
Like any career, Remzi’s journey has been peppered with challenges. The construction industry can be tough, but Remzi emphasizes the importance of communication and adaptability. “The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that communication is key,” he shares. “It’s also important to have a good plan of attack and a few solutions ready if things don’t go to plan.”
Building Success Brick by Brick: Remzi's Leadership at Keece Queensland
Remzi played a pivotal role in establishing Keece Queensland five years ago. What began with a small team has now grown to over 20 dedicated individuals. “We worked hard to get it off the ground,” Remzi recalls, “but I’m so happy with how far we’ve come. Keece Qld is now well known in the industry, and we wouldn’t have gotten this far without the efforts of the team. We will continue to grow and achieve bigger and better things.”
His passion for achieving goals and witnessing Keece’s growth fills him with pride. “I’m proud of the client recognition we receive for our high standard of project delivery,” Remzi says. “I can’t wait to see where we’ll be in another 15 years.”
Central to Remzi’s leadership style is fostering a positive work environment where everyone feels valued and inspired. “At Keece Qld, we’ve built a team that people want to be part of,” he explains. “We’ve created a good work environment where everyone is treated equally, recognized, and rewarded for achieving goals, and given opportunities for growth.”
